Objectives
-
To amend, add to and revise
the 1995 Historical Survey of the Shire of Murrindindi,
and to issue a Second Edition thereof.
-
To involve all area and citizens of the Shire in the project,
by surveys, workshops, speakers, tour guiding,
promotions of heritage values and publications.

To invite affiliation from historical societies, museums, libraries,
visitor centres, businesses and persons in support of these Objects.

To collect and copy out-of-print books and publications,
original manuscripts, photographs, oral tapes interviews and
newspaper articles.

To compile an Historical Records data text base, as a master index
for reference purposes to future generations.

To collect and maintain surveys materials on events,
buildings and landmarks, pioneers and families
for future editions of the Register.

To investigate and select computer programs, filming and storage systems,
to maintain the Register.

To hold training workshops, volunteer working groups,
and promote community involvement and support.

To apply for grants and donations in cash or kind towards the cost
of these activities and Objects.

To engage in activities in furtherance of these Objects,
including deposits, trust investments,
and as approved by the Registrar of Associations (Victoria).
