CHC30213 Certificate III in Education Support - School of Community Services
Delivered through Murrindindi Training Institute using Continuing Education and Arts Centre of Alexandra (CEACA) as the RTO, the Certificate III in Education Support is recognised as appropriate training for people wishing to improve their skills, knowledge/or employment opportunities in the field of Education Support within the community services sector.
Students wishing to undertake this course will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI), unless exempt from the USI scheme. Students can obtain a USI at usi.gov.au (external link).
Once completed, possible employment opportunities include;
- Education assistants
- Behaviour support officer
- Teacher aides
- Support workers
The course is designed to prepare those who are intending to or already work within the education sector and are wanting to improve their skills and knowledge.
Delivery: One full day per week in face-to-face classes for 12 months
Location: CEACA 38A Downey Street Alexandra Victoria
Placement: 150 hours of practical placement to be done in 2 blocks of two weeks (if currently employed in the industry this can be used as practical placement)
Study time: Additional time needed to study outside of class times (Up to 15 - 30 hours per week)

Delivery and assessment modes
Classroom based, practical with components of assessment include written work, projects, portfolio, on-job tasks, observations or combination of all.
- Prospective students must have a pre-enrolment interview and short assessment to determine the course suitability

- Basic computer skills incorporating internet and Microsoft Word skills
- Language, literacy and numeracy skills

Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG)
*In order to be eligible for funding participants must meet the requirements of the Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG). Eligibility is determined by CEACA on enrolment once an enrolment form has been completed.
CEACA provides a payment plan to participants for paying off their course fees during the duration of the course and/or year.
A mandatory $400 deposit must be paid on enrolment which is deducted from the total course fee. The remaining fees are then divided into three instalments for payment.
There is no VET-FEE-HELP available for this course.
Accessing the VTG may impact students wishing to undertakew further government subsidised training.
